Our Certificated Location
We’re experienced caravanners and motorhomers, and we’ve made Skybarn into a Certificated Location (CL) that always puts our guests first.
We’ve been running our CL since July 2013. It’s grown from a couple of electric hook-up points and a grass field into what it is today.
Over the years we’ve taken note of our visitors’ feedback and reviews and combined this with what works best for our clay soil. We’ve added hard standings followed by the fully serviced bollards to each pitch. These improvements have proved immensely popular.
Because we're a working farm our visitors don’t need to worry about access. We’re easy to find, with no narrow lanes to negotiate and our 20-foot-wide gates make getting onto site simple and stress-free.
We love running the CL and talking to different people from all over the country, sometimes even further afield, all with different interests and occupations. We’re very proud that many of our visitors return to our site on a regular basis. Inevitably many of these guests have now become firm friends.

We know your time is precious and we want you to love your stay with us. That’s why we’ve created this free Guidebook for you.
Dogs Welcome
We welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes and are particularly partial to puppies! For your dog's pleasure whilst staying with us we have a 2.5 mile private walk around our fields as well as a dedicted muddy paws and boots wash point.
Lincoln is very dog friendly and has produced a comprehensive list of dog friendly visitor attractions, shops, cafes and restaurants for your convenience.
There are plenty of dog walking opportunites nearby too including Whisby Nature Reserve with miles of lovely pathways for excellent dog walking both on and off lead.

Walks And Wildlife
Photo opportunities abound for all you wildlife enthusiasts! Many of our visitors share their wildlife sightings with us on our facebook page. There are suggestions for local walks in our Digital Guidebook as well as our information hut or you can head to one of the many local nature reserves.
Our visitors enjoy spotting our resident wildlife including brown hare, rabbit, pheasant, fox, partridge, muntjac and roe deer, barn owl and buzzard whilst taking advantage of the 2.5 mile private dog walk around our fields.
Almost on our doorstep is Whisby Nature Reserve. Owned and managed by Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, it is a beautiful landscape full of wildlife, walks and trails. Once barren and lifeless, this amazing place now abounds with wildlife. The park was created by quarrying for sand and gravel, but nature has reclaimed the pits and bare sand, creating habitats for many species.
Bring Your Bikes
From our CL you can jump straight onto the cycle path into North Hykeham, the City Centre and beyond. You can cycle all the way to Boston in the east and Tuxford, with its working windmill, to the west.....if you're feeling energetic! Lots more specific information is available in our Digital Guidebook sent to all our visitors when they book.
The cycle path into the City runs alongside (but separate from) the A46 into North Hykeham and then varies between designated on road cycle lanes and off road paths all the way into Lincoln Centre. From there you can pick up different Sustrans cycle routes both east and west.
Lincoln’s city centre Cycle Hub, situated at Lincoln railway station, provides safe cycle storage for 196 bikes - Ask us for more information.
As well as cycling direct from our site you can use the two Park & Bike venues at Skellingthorpe or Burton Waters where you are able to park your car for free and cycle off road into the City centre in approximately 20 minutes.

Hire A Car
For our motorhome visitors, we've made it easy for you to explore the surrounding area with a car hire option from our friendly local independent garage.
Your hire car will be delivered to our Certificated Location and picked up again when you're done.
We have excellent public transport including bus, train and taxi but a car provides you with the freedom to visit those unique attractions that are a little further afield.
Plus, as our guest, you'll enjoy a special discounted rate, with hire starting from just £33 per day.
