Truckfest Lincoln

Monster trucks, stunt shows, family entertainment, food & drink, celebrities, 1000's of trucks and more!  Truckfest has been delivering a great day out since 1983 - and now it's coming to Lincoln!

Taking place at the Lincolnshire Showground this May, visitors of all ages will be amazed by monster trucks and arena stunt shows at this exciting event.

You will have the chance to meet celebrities and children’s characters, take part in exhilarating rides - and see some incredible trucks!

Nottinghamshire County Show

The Nottinghamshire County Show celebrates the best of Nottinghamshire's agricultural roots within the rural community of the Midlands, celebrating everything from livestock, equine, countryside competitions with trade stands, local food producers and craft stalls.
 

The show provides a great platform for local and regional businesses to showcase products and services to thousands of visitors, including those within the agricultural community. Being one of the first county shows in the UK events calendar, it is a great opportunity to start off the show season!
 

It’s your chance to see or even compete in one of our many competitions, enjoy our ‘festival of food’ with carefully selected independent producers of the finest food and drink Nottinghamshire and the Midlands has to offer. With plenty more to see it will be a fantastic day showcasing the best of farming, countryside and rural life.

Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix

The steep hills of the cobbled Cathedral Quarter will offer an exciting and challenging route for riders again this year, as we welcome the Lincoln Grand Prix back to the city.

This year will be the 68th edition of this iconic event, with both the men and women's races taking place on Sunday 12 May.

The Women's Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix starts at 9.00am from Castle Square and covers 8 laps of the Grand Prix circuit to finish in Castle Square at approximately 12.00 pm.

The Men's Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix starts at 1.00pm from Castle Square and covers 13 laps of the Grand Prix circuit to finish in Castle Square at approximately 4.40 pm .

Lincoln Beer Festival

The Lincoln Beer Festival is a major event in the city's social calendar, enjoyed by thousands of drinkers.

In the comfortable surroundings of The Drill, you will find a choice of over 100 real ales from across the UK. There is also a selection of traditional, farm-produced cider and perry, plus beers from around the world.

Classic Car Show at Lincoln Castle

Set in the elegant surroundings of Lincoln Castle, this year's Classic Car Show will feature a huge range of automobiles, including cars, motorcycles and small commercial vehicles.

With an exciting display of both vintage and classic motors, this is the perfect day out for all car enthusiasts!

Free to attend, visitors will get a chance to take a closer look at the vehicles - and chat with the owners.

Lincoln Castle will also be dog friendly this weekend, so why not bring the whole family to take in the sights of the Castle grounds and enjoy a coffee and cake in the café…you can even purchase a tasty treat for your four-legged friend!

Lincolnshire Show

The Lincolnshire Show is one of our county’s flagship events and truly has something for each of the 60,000 visitors to enjoy.

 

See spectacular entertainment in the Main Ring, shop delicious local  produce in the Food Court and explore beautiful blooms, local art and  handmade crafts in the Lincolnshire Lifestyle Marquee. Take a seat to  watch top chefs in The Lincolnshire Kitchen, immerse yourself in  agriculture with a packed timetable of livestock and equine classes and head to the Agricultural Lines to see machinery from past and present.  

 

Our Aviation Zone celebrates Lincolnshire’s rich aviation heritage, and  there’s plenty for our younger visitors to see, make and do in the  Discovery, Sport and Kids Zones.

Sweet Pea Season at Easton Walled Gardens

Lincoln 1940s Weekend

Get on your dancing shoes - the annual 1940s weekend is returning to Lincoln! Visitors and locals alike are invited to step back in time with what’s promising to be two days of fabulous fun.

You can enjoy a fantastic variety of entertainment throughout the weekend, with live performances, theatre, games and craft markets taking place across the city. 
 

Throughout the weekend, a range of exciting events take place across Lincoln, including:
 

  • Live 1940s music and dance

  • Food and drink in the local businesses

  • Craft markets

  • Family activities and pop-up street theatre

  • Vintage Fairground (including a carousel and children’s swing boats!)

  • Traditional games

  • Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast by a Lancaster Bomber

Sculpture at Doddington

The popular biennial Sculpture Exhibition returns to Doddington Hall. The stunning walled gardens and romantic wild gardens provide the perfect setting for over 300 works of art made by 60 Sculptors from across the UK and beyond.

Curators David Waghorne and Kate McGovern have carefully selected national and international sculptors to complement each area of the garden and to provide an eclectic exhibition to suit all tastes, styles and budgets. A large indoor gallery located in the Stable Yard will exhibit a captivating variety of smaller-scale pieces.

​

Almost every piece in the exhibition is for sale, an investment which will bring enjoyment to your home or garden for many years and will help to support the career of the sculptor.

East Kirkby Air Show

This is our annual full airshow and is run to help raise funds for the on-going restoration of Avro Lancaster NX611. We have limited tickets to 5,500 so it is vital that you try and buy your tickets early as we sold out last year. We are happy to say that we have been able to secure some of the best displays in the country so the audience should not be disappointed! It is imperative that all those who are planning coming to the event do buy their tickets before hand so that they can gain entry to the site.

We will have re-enactors, Lancaster taxy runs, trade stalls, vintage cars, military vehicles and much more to give you an excellent family day out.  Take a look at the news section below for up-to-date information on the ground activities and flying displays.

IBCC Salute to the 40s

This August, the IBCC will be hosting their 7th annual 'Salute to the 40s' weekend - and it gets bigger and better every year!


There will be live entertainment on throughout the weekend, which you can enjoy with a cup of tea and a slice of cake in the marquee. On Saturday, there will also be a fabulous free Glen Miller concert from Kal’s Kats.

Take a stroll around the grounds and chat to all the re-enactors, or treat yourself to something stylish and vintage from one of the many trade stands.

Vehicle enthusiasts will be wowed by the selection of 1940s cars and military vehicles on display. With talks on bomb disposal and mission briefings, there really is something for everyone!

Assylum Steampunk Festival

Over August bank holiday weekend, the cobbled streets of historic Lincoln are transformed with top hats, flying goggles, corsets and flamboyant feathers!

​

The biggest Steampunk festival in the world will be returning to Lincoln for the bank holiday weekend. Attracting visitors from all over the world, this innovative event celebrates a steam powered world in the late 19th century.  

The Lincoln Steampunk Festival will feature a fringe-style programme of art, literature, music, fashion and comedy.

Collingham & District Agricultural Society Annual Show

Collingham and District Agricultural Society (CDAS) invite you to the annual Collingham Show and Ploughing Match. Situated on the edge of the county of Nottinghamshire, the award-winning village of Collingham is the perfect setting for a traditional, country show.

 

Held on the third Saturday in September, Collingham Show is proving as popular as ever! The Show retains a strong agricultural identity and has evolved to include a variety of attractions, traders and competitions.

 

From vintage vehicles to livestock, bouncy castles to tug of war, as well as trade stands, refreshments and horse and pony classes, there really is something for everyone! Attracting crowds of several thousand every year, Collingham Show is definitely worth a visit!

Southwell Ploughing Match & Show

The Southwell Ploughing Match is the largest agricultural one day show in Nottinghamshire, established in 1855 and run by a committee comprising of local business people and rural enthusiasts.

The annual show is held at a different venue every year and represents all the important interests of agriculture from horse ploughing through the vintage years to the modern day tractor, a variety of livestock, static displays and trade stands to suit all tastes. In more recent years horse classes, dog show and the farmers market have been introduced.
